We cannot stress how important it is, when
first looking for a care home to visit personally, thereby
giving you the chance to meet the staff, chat with other
residents and get a feel for the place. As such, we welcome
and encourage visits at any time. If you wish to discuss
any problem or query you may have, or perhaps would like
to visit for afternoon tea, it may be advisable to make an
appointment.
Our primary function is as a nursing home
and as such we carry a full team of mature and highly qualified
nursing staff. Care is supervised by our matron who is assisted
by other RN's (Registered Nurses formerly SRN's or RGN's)
and a team of experienced auxiliary nurses and carers. These
are
supported
by an excellent and friendly team of housekeeping and catering
staff.
Continuity of staff
is important and we pride ourselves on having a very low
turnover. Some staff having been with us for over 25 years!
Aims
Wherever and whenever possible, we encourage
people to maintain their independence for as long and to
whatever degree is practicable. Some people decide to come
to us before they need any nursing care, which eliminates
the need to move home when this need arises and you may rest
assured that in the event of you needing full or even partial
care, our highly qualified staff are on hand 24 hours a day
with all the up-to-date technical expertise and equipment
you may require.
Whatever your precise requirement at the time,
our aim is to provide this high standard of care in as relaxed,
caring and homely atmosphere as is possible, and we always
try to consider Red Rocks as your home.
The relaxed and homely atmosphere, together with the cleanliness are
some of the many observations people voice when visiting
Red Rocks.
Endorsements
A record from previously and currently satisfied
residents and their relatives is always available for inspection.
Quality Assurance & Inspection
Reports
As long standing members of the Registered
Nursing Home Association (RNHA) we are regularly inspected
to ensure we meet the high standards laid down by this national
organisation, and which exceed statutory requirements. Additionally,
we have adopted their Quality Assurance System, The
Blue Cross Mark of Excellence which meets the latest ISO 9001
(2000 Standard).

Throughout the year Red Rocks is also inspected
by numerous regulatory departments to ensure we meet exacting
standards. The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI)
bi-annual inspection reports (both Announced & Unannounced)
are available from our office for your perusal or alternatively
can be obtained from CSCI (See Links)
directly or viewed and downloaded from their website:
