& Facilities
We provide a
wide range of services free of charge such as basic foot
care, occupational therapy and activities, letter writing,
and a library.
Other services
that can be provided are Aromatherapy, beautician, florist
etc and professional services such as Chiropody, Physiotherapy,
Speech Therapist, Reflexologist, Dentist & Optician
are all easily arranged privately or through the NHS; although,
if not available under NHS, would be charged at cost.
- Laundry
All laundry is included within
the fee. Dry or Specialist cleaning can be arranged
and the appropriate charge will be made to your account.
- Transport
Transport is available for
trips to local shops or public transport and we will always
accompany you to clinic or hospital appointments.
- Outings are arranged periodically
To local sites, theatres, and even narrowboat excursions
etc. A nominal charge will be made to cover costs and
tickets etc. Suggestions are always welcome
- Activities/Occupational
Therapy
-is included
in the fee. We have a full-time Activities Co-Ordinator
who is able to offer a range of varied and interesting
activities to suit everyone’s taste. Participation
is not essential and will be very much lead by your particular
wishes and interests which will be
discussed with you personally.
- Visiting times
Visitors are welcome at all times
and are encouraged to visit regularly. On occasions when
you might require a small party, this can easily be arranged
and a nominal charge made.
Transport for visitors without a car
can sometimes be arranged given reasonable notice.

- Newspapers
and Magazines
Your personal choice of these
will be ordered from a local newsagent and charged to your
account accordingly.
- Religion
Red Rocks has no particular religious affiliation, and
visits from local clergy are regular and always welcome.
- G.P. Registration
There is a wide choice of local G.P's that visit and registration
can easily be arranged. If your G.P. is local and willing
to visit you at Red Rocks then you can remain on their
list.
- Voting
Registration for voting purposes (Postal or Proxy) will
be arranged automatically.
- Birthdays & Celebrations

Birthdays - We help in celebrating your birthday
with a card, complimentary bottle of "bubbly",
a bouquet of flowers for the ladies, and a home-made
birthday cake with candles & sparklers.
Shrove Tuesday - Pancakes, caster sugar and lemon
are the order of the day. |

Easter - Provided with our compliments
is a card and chocolate egg, or for our diabetic residents,
an appropriate
and equally delicious substitute. |

Hoylake Lifeboat Day - Held on August
Bank Holiday Monday. We are extremely fortunate to be
situated in
such a spot as to capture the aerobatics of various
visiting display teams, from the RAF's Tornado, to the
Red Arrows & others. |

Operation Christmas Child - September - our annual
appeal for shoe boxes filled with all sorts of "goodies" for
orphaned or war torn children which are later delivered
in time for Christmas. We hope everyone will join in
this extremely worthwhile event. |

November 5th - Weather permitting, we provide an excellent
fireworks display. Friends and relatives are more than
welcome to join you. |

Remembrance Day / Sunday - Is always acknowledged and
we provide the usual collection box and poppies for the
British Legion's Poppy Appeal. |

Christmas - Apart from the Christmas lights and exquisite
trees & decorations around the home, we are happy
to receive local carol singers, musicians & brownies
groups over the festive season. Provided with our compliments
is a stocking containing all sorts of surprises and for
those residents wishing to stay with us for Christmas
Day, we provide the complete traditional fayre, normally
set around the dining table. It is also possible, subject
to availability, for guests to join you (at a nominal
charge). |
